Recent Events: Kate Adie

The Tolpuddle Old Chapel welcomed renowned former BBC news correspondent Kate Adie on Sunday, 17th May 2026, as part of its successful Sunday Sessions programme.

The series has already featured performances from Time and Tide, the Dorian String Quartet, Cellovoci and the Canzonetta Choir, attracting audiences from across the area.

During the afternoon event, Kate Adie spoke about her early career in journalism and shared fascinating stories from the many locations around the world where she reported major news events during her distinguished broadcasting career.

Following the talk, audience members were invited to ask questions, leading to an engaging and lively discussion with the veteran journalist.

The Sunday Sessions programme, organised by  volunteers Ian Cray and Lorraine Tillbrook, has proved very successful and plans are already underway to bring the popular series back for another season later in the year.
